Meet the Dogs behind Sweet Lemon Design

Inspired by real life with dogs.

Sweet Lemon Design began with three very special dogs: Lemon, Fig, and Wilson.

Their unique personalities, adventures, and individual needs inspire every thoughtfully handcrafted piece we create — because the gear you reach for every day should become a trusted part of life with your dog.

Lemon, our Australian Labradoodle therapy dog, inspired the creation of Sweet Lemon Design and continues to remind us what life with dogs is really about — connection.

From therapy visits and farmers markets to hiking trails and everyday outings, Lemon goes just about everywhere with us. But finding gear that felt both beautiful and functional wasn't always easy. Many options felt too bulky, too tactical, or simply lacked the thoughtful details we wanted.

So we started researching and creating our own.

What began as a search for versatile, well-designed gear became Sweet Lemon Design — a handcrafted collection of BioThane® collars, leashes, and everyday essentials designed to blend durability, comfort, and intentional design.

Every piece is thoughtfully designed with real life in mind: muddy walks, puppy stages, training sessions, weekend adventures, therapy visits, and all the ordinary moments that become the most meaningful.

At Sweet Lemon Design, we believe dog gear should feel just as special as the dogs wearing it.

Meet Fig…

Figgy Mae. Figgy Brown Bear.

Fig is an Australian Labradoodle with aspirations of becoming a therapy dog herself. Equal parts best friend to Lemon and sweet, mischievous teddy bear, Fig brings a little adventure to everything we do. Whether she's testing new gear, showing off color combinations, or keeping us on our toes, she brings joy, personality, and just the right amount of playful chaos to Sweet Lemon Design.

Meet Wilson …

Wilson, our Westie, reminded us that every dog has different needs. His sensitive skin inspired us to think differently about everyday collars and eventually create the Comfort Collar — a simple, lightweight option designed with comfort and everyday wear in mind.

Because thoughtful design isn't just about how something looks. It's about the dog wearing it.
